OUR PHILOSOPHY
As a builder of kit boats for nearly 20 years we have the reputation of building  strong and safe vessels. Many of the vessels we've built for charter some up to 16 years ago are still operating successfully as charter boats. Many of our kit boat builders have made good profits when selling their vessels are several years of use.
PLANNING YOUR PROJECT
Many people dream of building  a large live- aboard cruising catamaran. We like to make our customers well aware before they begin that it is a large project and it's best to start planning long before you begin construction.
Financial Outlay.
Large cruising catamarans are the ideal boat for live-aboard extended cruising, but as you already know when you search the Boating Magazines and the Internet, these boats are far from cheap.
The cost of building an Inspiration 1050 is also going to be expensive, but by buying a hull and deck kit and then, do-it-yourself you do have the opportunity of making great savings (up to 50% on the new sailaway price). Our suggestion is however, do not start if you cannot afford to see the project to its completion.
We like to see happy owners setting off on world cruise, not desperate owners who have to sell their boats half finished.
We have kits available to cover the main specialized items which are required for the construction. By standardizing on these items it not only provides you with a quality product which has worked well on previous boats but allows us to offer you a competitive price on the kits.
We can provide you with recommendations for other items and can provide you with discounts on most equipment.
Project Time
It is always difficult to suggest how long it will take to complete such a project, as it often depends on the dedication and the knowledge of the builder. In one case the owner  managed with some help to complete the vessel sufficiently in 3 months to launch the vessel and take the vessel to his home some 5000 miles away.
It is our suggestion however that the vessel be completed before launching, so you must expect some 1500 to 2000 hours work to do this.
Experience
Whilst boat building experience isn't necessary, it definitely makes the job quicker and easier. However many of our kit boat builders have had no experience, but with our plans, kits, patterns and our technical advice they have produced a good quality cruising or charter boat.
